Al-Shaheen, Qatar’s largest offshore oil field and one of the largest offshore oil fields in the world!
Located in the Persian Gulf, 80 kilometers north of Doha, the field consists of 33 platforms and produces 300 thousand barrels of oil per day.
Since July 2017, the field is operated by North Oil Company (NOC), a company 70% owned by Qatar Petroleum and 30% by Total.
The objective of the joint-venture is to maximize the production from Al-Shaheen over the next 25 years.
