The development of Zinia 2 has started!
Zinia 2 is a deep offshore project located 150 kilometers from the Angolan coast. This project is part of the Block 17 development and will extend its profitability with a production capacity of 40,000 barrels per day.
Zinia 2 comprises nine wells in water depths ranging from 600 to 1,200 meters and will connect satellite reservoirs to PAZFLOR, the existing FPSO.
Total operates the Block 17 with a 40% interest, alongside affiliates of Equinor (23.33%), Exxon Mobil (20%), and BP (16.67%). Sonangol, is a concessionaire.
Three short-cycle projects – Zinia Phase 2, CLOV Phase 2 and Dalia Phase 3 – are being developed on block 17 to produce 150 million barrels of resources, and other similar satellite projects are being studied to increase the production of Pazflor, Rosa, Girassol and Dalia. Exploration is expected to add new resources, and forage from two wells is already planned for 2020.
